Higher index = warmer and/or more humid observations.
Method & limitations
Data. PUBLIC only when at least two public candidates qualify; otherwise recent geolocated device readings may supplement them. PUBLIC: within 2 hours. Devices: within 1 minute. A score needs two stations. Simulated readings and demo-position devices are excluded.
Method. Illustrative weights: 60% temperature (24–34°C) + 40% humidity (40–100% RH), capped at 0–100. Average up to four stations within 1.5 km of route vertices. If none qualify in that area, use the two nearest. Hover over the station count for names and observation times.
Limitations. Mapbox travel times are estimates. Check ferry schedules when a crossing is included. Not a validated comfort/health metric or cumulative journey exposure.
About this project
HKO observations and sensor uploads are checked and stored in PostgreSQL. Explore locations on the map, open station history in Grafana, or try the walking-route view. PUBLIC, DEMO and EXTERNAL labels identify each data source.
